Plug-In Solar Microinverters

Compare inverter-class products by AC wattage, PV input, connector type, monitoring, export-control support, battery ecosystem compatibility, warranty, and source links.

What they do

Microinverters convert solar-panel DC power into grid-synchronized AC power. In plug-in solar systems, they are the device that determines AC output limit, grid behavior, monitoring, and often whether export limiting can be controlled.

For this site, a microinverter is only useful if its electrical ratings, certifications, monitoring, and meter/export-control ecosystem fit the intended plug-in setup.

What to check

Electrical fit: panel Voc/Vmp/Isc/Imp must stay within the inverter input limits, including cold-weather voltage.

Legal fit: a product being technically capable of AC output does not mean it is legal to plug into a receptacle in your jurisdiction.

Control fit: if export is restricted, use a matched smart meter/CT controller that can command output reduction.

Important: Many microinverters are plug-in components, not consumer outlet appliances. Verify the product listing, state pathway, circuit requirements, and utility/local rules before connecting anything.
